The Phoenix Film Foundation is always looking for fellow movie-lovers to volunteer for our various events throughout the year.
The Phoenix Film Festival is in April annually and recruits for 200 volunteers every year. The event is held at the Harkins Scottsdale/101. In exchange for their commitment of 24 hours, volunteers will receive a festival t-shirt and a full festival pass (excludes the opening night screening).
We are looking for enthusiastic people in the following areas:
Ticketing; Theatre operations; Volunteer check-in; Expo booths; Educational outreach; Filmmaker liaison; Events & Merchandising. Volunteers with technical experience are also encouraged to apply. There are also several opportunities for people to commit their volunteer hours prior to the festival. There will be promotional events; screenings and street teams to market the festival. We’ll also need people to help with moving; set-up and clean up as well as volunteers to help in the Phoenix Film Foundation office.
IFP-Phoenix conducts filmmaking seminars and screenings of local films on a monthly basis. Volunteers are needed to work the events and in exchange get to learn about filmmaking or see a free movie.
The International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival and Arizona Student Film Festival can also both use volunteers to assist in those events as well.
